Who we are

Waxwing Editorial is the trade name under which this site operates. The underlying legal entity (a California limited liability company operating from Costa Mesa) is being formed; final registered legal name will be posted here on the effective date. We provide real estate and interior design photography and video services.

What we collect

• Contact and business details you give us when you contact us or submit a booking request: name, brokerage / company (if any), email address, phone number.
• Property information for shoots you book: address, approximate square footage, property type, occupancy status, service requested, preferred date/time, access instructions, special features to capture.
• Billing information required to invoice you: billing name and email. We do not receive or store your payment card details — payment is processed by Stripe via Stripe Invoicing.
• Communications you send us and our replies.
• Basic website analytics via Plausible, a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.

What we do with it

• Deliver the services you request.
• Send booking confirmations, invoices, delivery links, and reasonable follow-up related to your engagements.
• Comply with legal obligations (record retention for tax, contract, and insurance purposes).

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing.
• We do not maintain advertising or retargeting integrations on this site.

Access credentials for your property

Lockbox, alarm, or gate codes provided for a shoot are handled as sensitive information. They are stored only for the duration required to perform the shoot and are deleted from our operational records after delivery is complete. We do not accept access codes over ordinary email — please use the secure method we send you.

How we share

Service providers who help us operate: Stripe (payment processing), Formspree (booking-form submission handling), Pixieset (gallery / delivery), our cloud backup provider, Cloudflare (website hosting and CDN), Plausible (analytics), SignWell (contract e-signature). Each is bound by its own terms of service and privacy commitments.

Legal requirements: if we are required to disclose information by law (subpoena, court order, valid governmental request).

How long we keep it

• Booking and communications: as needed to service the engagement and for record retention (up to 7 years for financial and contract records).
• Photograph and video deliverables: per your engagement's stated retention window (see the client agreement and the property-readiness sheet).
• Access credentials for your property: deleted after the shoot is delivered.

Your choices

• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have provided to us. Some records must be retained for tax and legal reasons; if we cannot delete a specific record for that reason we will explain why.
• You may unsubscribe from any non-transactional communications at any time.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because Plausible does not track visitors across sites and does not use cookies, we do not maintain a separate DNT preference.

Children

Our services are directed to adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the effective date.
